Easter Lunch at the Castle-
On Livet Hemma this week we visit a bit more of an unusual living arrangment, an apartment in a castle. We are invited to a cosy Easter lunch in the springtime.
Kristineberg Palace was built in 1740 during the Swedish Rococo period with lots of beautiful interior features. The old folding table stands firmly on a mix of rugs so that guests will not get cold feet. The Easter
table is set with the new series of the SKYN in white glazed porcelain and the robust but delicate glasses RÄTTVIK are ideal for our castle setting.
IKEA PS SKOGSSTJÄRNA schnapps and liqueur glasses, serving as mini-vases for everyone to see each other around the table. In the center of the tabletop is a bird's nest of blackthorne twigs where eggs are served directly from the nest! A simple idea that gives the table setting a little humor and life. Classic kitchen linen tea towels are always generous and simple napkins. If there are many of you around the table for Easter, it can feel cramped with the flowers and decorations, so the set the table on the side 'a la buffet style' to fit in well with the Easter mood instead.
I feel so inspired! Thanks Careen!
