Tips for decorating on a budget

Given the current financial climate more and more of us are looking at ways of doing up our home without breaking the bank.  Ive decided to share some inspiring tips for creating a lovely home without leaving yourself skint.

Inject some colour!

A lick of paint is a quick, easy and inexpensive way to give your home an instant lift. Whether you make a statement feature wall,  decorate an entire room in a vibrant shade, or opt for a stylish two-tone scheme, you’re guaranteed a striking look with a lot of glamour.

Go all white!

If you have got exsisting furniture in a room then paint it all white. I know that may sound a bit drastic but unless its antique and worth a lot of cash, its worth a try for a quick and cheap  fix that will look great.  Painting old furniture white instantly gives it a new lease of life, it will also pull the room together and make everything seem a whole lot brighter.

Give yourself a statement wall!

Another cheap but really effective way of transforming a tired room is to simply paper one wall with a luxurious, statement print.  Not only are you transforming your room on the cheap,  your creating a focal point, so go all out and be as daring as possible.

Go thrifting!

You really can find amazing furniture and home accessories in your local thrifiting stores often at crazy bargain prices.  All you need is a little imagination, some dedication, a little patience and oh some spare time. You can transform some outdated furniture with a lick of paint or be a little adventurous with frames ornaments, mirrors etc by giving them a makeover with some vibrant spray paints.
