New Year New Look ♥

In February we will have been in our home for 2 years. Every single room needed done and we have always been on a tight budget saving hard for each new project. So far we have tackled the bathroom, kitchen, utility room and the kids bedrooms and still have to do the hall, living room, family room and small toilet.My next project definitely will be my living room as i feel Ive totally did my bit and lived in the swirly wirly land of psychedelic carpets long enough lol.  First job is to plan the layout as we have a large bay window and a fireplace in an awkward position.  Above are some images of inspiration for the layout and a possible idea of making the window into proper seating (making it more of a feature of it)  My next few posts will probably be my wish list of colours, patterns, furnishings etc...I say wish as it most certainly always is with me:) x

Christmas Cracker.....

So I posted the other night to say that we were starting to put up all our Christmas decorations...well this morning I got up and went out to the garage, finally braving the cold to get all the decorations....after hunting for over 20 minutes it hit me.....in the summer we got our new bathroom in and in order for the plumbers to do their job they where in my garage doing work, moving things around etc.....few weeks later my brother in law very kindly offered to go to the dump with all the waste.....inside all that waste was 10 years worth of very cute and quirky Christmas decorations....so today we where a little sad.  But ive since cheered up.  We put up the tree, bought new LED lights and stuck them on and I have just went and ordered some rather funky new decorations to cheer us all up....they are so cute, i especially love the wee penguin's and fawn's.   I got them all  from paperchase.  Best part was that my lovely husband bought them, smiles all round...got a lot of collecting to do again though  x

Christmas Is coming & we are super excited.....

So its still a bit early for the decorations but I couldn't help just a little bit of Christmas magic lol.....my daughter & I were having a secret sing song of jingle bells the other night in the kitchen.  I love Christmas time, being wrapped up all warm at nights, watching Christmas movies, eating as much food as your tummy can take, lovely twinkling lights and of course all the cheery christmas songs....just magic x

Halloween Fun....

My little glam witch is too cute not to share lol....she had her halloween party tonight and had a ball, we even managed to carve a couple of pumpkins last night before putting up all the decorations. Great little day! Oh nearly forgot how cute is her little friend the ghost...her costume was so cute & her mum got the idea from parenting.com .  Loads of cute little home-made Halloween costumes on there:) Last but not least my boy dressed as a zombie school boy, was a busy house that morning getting them ready from school then heading straight off after school for my girls weekend in Poland.

Bathroom make-over got into the final......

Eeeek super happy tonight, and heres why: My bathroom make-over got into the final 10 over at design-refuge.  If you like my new bathroom please vote for me, it really would make me super happy:)  Also I'm just back from my Zumba class , the girl is amazing, we are burning something crazy like 1000 calories in an hour (if your doing it full on lol) Its so much fun even if I have zero co-ordination or rhythm. Then my mum called to say that my little girl who just turned 4 is daft for her small Jack Russell, Eva adores all animals and loves her wee dog looby so much, my mum heard her earlier on in the living room cuddling her wee dog and patting it on the head,  saying to her "aww looby your such a clever wee dog, now you've got a brain!!", awww kids are so funny, as you may have guessed she has been watching wizard of oz lately.  I'm going to smile all night now today has been a good day x

Face painting love......

My daughter and I had some fun at the weekend, she loves getting her face painted so is happy to let me try out pretty much whatever i like which usually includes flowers, butterflies,  rainbows and any other pretty things i can think up, this picture is too cute not to share x

Small Miracle Love........

Ive not really got any pics of "me" on my blog which suits me fine lol.....but my brother took this one of me and my beautiful niece just hours after she was born.  I cant even remember it being taken, i think i was just so mesmerised by how beautiful she was.  Totally perfect in every way....

Hard Days Work Love......

Firstly please excuse my amazing retro carpet lol (you think if i keep it long enough it will come back into fashion?), we have been in our new house for 18 months now and have so far managed to tackle the green ghoul bathroom and the 1950's kitchen.  Now I'm hoping my next project will be my living room!!  It really is another huge project though.   Anyways i just had to share this photo of my beautiful daughter after a hard afternoon of dress up, she was awfully tired afterwards and needed a nap to recover lol.....

Love My Best Friends Wedding.........

I was recently bridesmaid at my best friends wedding, it was so amazing, she had lots of quirky little extras like the sweetie table above and the flip flops in the ladies for those with sore feet, cigars in the gents, she also had a homemade photo booth for people to take pictures with geek chic specs and leave messages for the bride and groom, it was such a fab day...as you can see this is me with my evening flats on striking a rather silly pose....i was wearing 6 inch heels during the day.......honest!!!!
